Wyatt's First Bath

Wyatt had his first bath at home on the Sunday after we came home from the hospital on Friday. Until his cord falls off we have to do the sponge baths which he hates, but he LOVES getting his hair washed. I'll admit I had no idea how to give him the bath. My aunt Anne had spent the night with me so thankfully she was there to show me how to do it.

Wyatt's 1st Dr. Appointment

Wyatt had his first visit to the Dr. office on Tuesday after he was born. The Dr. checked him out and said he is "perfect". He weighed in at 6lb's and 1oz, he lost a little weight but that is normal. Aunt Joyce drove us and went along to help. After the appointment we stopped in Garcia's to eat lunch and ran into Karen Burgland, a long time family friend. I should have known I would run into her there because I do almost every time I go.

Leaving the hospital

I realize these post are out of order, but bare with me and hopefully I'll get back on track soon. Wyatt and I got to leave the hospital Friday Jan. 15th at about 5pm. I dressed my little "doll" in a light blue outfit with his name monogrammed on it that Chelsea got for him. It was way to big but we made it work. Katie and Annabelle came to pick us up in my super clean car, thanks to Leslie. After a stop at Walgreen's and Steak and Shake we headed into Eagleville. The night was going smoothly until i realized that we had NO hot water, and that the pilot light on the water heater needed to be lit. Because I have done it 10 million times, I didn't think anything about going to the garage to light it. Not sure what went wrong, but it blew up in my face....im ok just minus a few eyebrows and lashes. Hey at least I have a story to tell Wyatt about the day I brought him home.

First Sunday at Granny and Papa's

The Sunday after Wyatt was born, we ventured out to lunch at Granny and Papa's. I just couldn't stay in the house any longer. Everyone offered to come get us, but Aunt Joyce ended up being the lucky one who drove us. It was great to be around all our wonderful family who love us so much. Wyatt is Granny and Papa's 5th great grandchild.

WYATT RALSTON HOBBS born 1/13/10 5:44pm

Wyatt is here! He was born 1/13/10 at 5:44 PM and weighed 6lbs and 8oz and 19 1/4" long. My day started with a 9am Dr. appt. I didn't feel very good that morning and when the nurse took my BP i knew why. Its was really high. After about three hours in the office having test and on monitors Dr. Scott decided to admit me to the hospital to induce me. It all went pretty fast from there. She broke my water around 1:oo pm, I got the epidural around 4pm, I pushed through 4 contractions and he was here by 5:44. Wasn't half as hard as i thought it could be. I needed some good luck after all the bad that I had in 2009. I know everyone says this but now I know first hand.....I never knew love until now!

Dinner at Carrabba's

I had dinner with Erica and Scott at Carrabba's tonight. They are two of my best friends from school, Scott since kindergarden and Erica since 6th grade (i think). We had a huge group of friends who were always together in high school but it's just really hard as busy adults to get everyone together, so most the time its just a few of us at a time. I am very lucky to have had as many great friends who have stayed in contact with each other for as many years.

Christmas 2009

This Christmas was very uneventful. It was a nice change not to have a million places to go, but i did enjoy my holiday with my great friends and family. First i spent the weekend before Christmas with my friend Chance and his family. Had a really great time and met some really unique people. I spent most of Christmas Eve in the hospital, but went to my Dads and Stepmother's for dinner when i got home. Christmas Day was spent with my friend Katie's family for lunch. I really wish I had gotten a picture. Katie's family is from England and there they have this tradition of wearing these crowns on Christmas, so we all looked pretty silly eating lunch with these paper crowns on our heads. I wrapped the day up with dinner at my grandparents. As most of you know my Lamb family is huge and getting bigger everyday. There will at least be two new members next year (Wyatt and his cousin Luke) and maybe more...you can never tell.

36 Week Dr. Appt.

Im still making progress...dilated to 2 now and 65% effaced. The past few days have been the hardest yet. Im getting really uncomfortable and my hands are getting worse daily. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that Wyatt comes sooner than later.
