35 Week Dr. Appointment

My Dr. Appointment yesterday went great. My blood pressure is much much better, Wyatt's heartbeat is good and he measured at 36 weeks. I am 50% effaced and dilated at 1, so a little progress going on down there. I'm going to the Dr. every week now so i will be posting an update every week. I'm sure they are going to be pretty boring post, but they will be more interesting after he is born...I promise.

WHAT A DAY!

It is 10:45 pm and I am typing this from my hospital room at Williamson Medical Center. Currently I'm fine, but it has definitely been an interesting day. Let start at the beginning, I had two highlights to do at work in Brentwood this morning. After I was done I got to feeling dizy and ended up vomiting. I went to the pharmacy down the street to take my blood pressure, it was 149/95 which is a little high. I decided to call the doctors office thinking they may want me to come in. Instead they sent me to the hospital to be monitored and have some test ran. My BP kept going up and down but all my labs are fine, still the doctor wants to do 24 hours of observation to be safe. So here I am trying to relax. My aunt Anne, who works at my doctors office, was with me most of the day and now my aunt Joyce is here to stay the night. Thank God for my family.

I'm up 8 lbs but technicaly still in the negative from the weight i lost in the first trimester. My appointments should start getting more exciting. When i go back in two weeks they will start checking me every week.

Thanksgiving at the Beach

I had the opportunity to spend a few days in Perdido Key Fl with my friend Chance and it just happen to fall during Thanksgiving. I figured it may be a while before I am able to take another trip and 18 years or so before i can take a kid free trip. Really didn't do a lot just relaxed and ate some great food. We spent a few evenings listening to a good band at Flor-Bama which i really enjoyed.

Baby Shower #2

Shower #2 was given to me by my family and a few close friends. Wow! I can't think of anything else I could need, I got so many great gifts, but I'm sure there are plenty of things I haven't thought about since all this is new to me and I have NO idea what to expect. The shower was cowboy themed, of course. Chad did a AWESOME job decorating and Darlene made the cake, not only was it super cute it tasted GREAT!

Baby Shower #1

My friend Katie had me a shower at her house with a few close friends. We had a great time and I got a lot of nice things that I needed for Wyatt. That day was really busy, after the shower Katie had a Premier Show and then a few friends at the shop to eat chili and play Corn Hole (a game where you throw bags and try to get it in the hole, for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about)

29 week Dr. appointment

Everything is looking good...gained a pound (never thought I would brag about that). His heartbeat was great and I'm measuring right on target.

Ron White

After dinner at Cabanas my friend Chance and I headed to TPAC to see Ron White. It was a really good show but its getting harder and harder to sit for long periods of time. I did pretty good, only had to go to the bathroom one time. Then we decided to hit a few places while we were down town...really fun but a LONG night. I guess I'm trying to go out with a bang before settling down and being a mommy.

Chelsea and Natalie's Birthday bash

Saturday night I went out to eat with a group to celebrate my best friend Chelsea and our friend Natalie's birthdays. We ate at Cabanas in Hillsboro Village, my food wasn't great but I did have a good time. Its been a while since we have been able to go out since Chelsea has a new baby and it will probably be a good while before we can do it again with Wyatt set to arrive in 10 weeks.

Trivia Night

Saturday was the 6th annual FFA Alumni trivia night. I have been helping with this from the beginning, although this year i didn't do half of what i usually do, and I was still worn out. I guess im just not what i used to be, and I will never be again. The night was great, I think everyone had fun and we made a lot of money for the Eagleville FFA chapter. The organization was a huge part of my high school experience and I have lots of great memories that i wouldn't have had if I wasn't a part of it. I hope that Wyatt has the opportunity to be a part of this awesome organization. In the picture with me is my friend Scott, and my friend and cousin Chad. The three of us went to school together all 13 years and we FFA members together.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was a busy day, Sophie's (one of wyatt's cousins) first birthday party was at my house. Chad, Sophie's dad and my first cousin, worked long and hard on turning the plain building behind my house into OZ. It looked unbeleivable! Almost everyone dressed up, but I just didn't have it in me this year. I got few pictures with all the little cousins that ill post later.

26 Week Dr. Appointment

I had my 26 week appointment with Dr. Scott today. Everything is looking good. I had my glucose test for gestational diabetes but I won't get the results until the end of the week. Keeping my fingers crossed that I won't have that to deal with. I am measuring right on target, and his heartbeat is good. When Dr. Scott had the monitor trying to hear his heartbeat he was kicking up a storm, he definitely didn't like that.

Getting Started

Wyatt is not set to arrive until January 31st, but i am going to start by using this blog for a journal for my third trimester.
This pregnancy has been fairly easy, physically speaking, until about a month ago when I developed carpal tunnel in both hands. This has made sleeping and working a daily challenge. I pray that it will mysteriously go away, but the Doctor says it will go away after I have him.
However, I did get a good nights sleep last night thanks to the hand braces.

This is what i looked like at 24 weeks
